With sacred calm

Breathe. That should be my mantra. Just breathe. Sacred calm. Inner peace that comes from God. All peace comes from God. It\’s interesting how much words mean things. Sacred means things such as pertaining to religion, worthy of veneration and highly important. It\’s interesting that sacred would be placed with the word calm. It must mean that calmness is of high importance to our lives, that it is worthy of our respect and devotion. Calm: state of tranquility. Tranquility: free from agitation of mind or spirit. Being free from agitation is of high importance. It\’s actually a striking concept. I never really think of freedom from agitation and my everyday stresses to be sacred in nature. I will be the first to admit, I need serious help with calmness in my life. To settle myself and be still. It relates back to something I thought about a lot today and that was living deliberately. Simply Deliberate. Having my life mean something and actually purposefully living it, as opposed to the haphazard way I seem to get carried away in. A friend of mine said he wouldn\’t want to live simply because he very much liked things of convenience. My argument would be the lack of quality you get, the lack of substance, the lack of meaning. It\’s more like letting life happen to you. not actually living. Now, I am not good at this…at all. I struggle constantly and it\’s pretty much all in my head, but the desire for that sacred calmness is there, and I believe that that is a start. Inner peace comes from God. God, I pray that Your peace might be with me all the days of my life.
